Sidewalks

City ordinance mandates that property owners replace defective, unsafe, or hazardous sidewalks and drive approaches.

The City of Dallas offers a Sidewalk Replacement Program, splitting costs 50/50 with property owners. Expect a property assessment and mailed quote within 2–3 months; completion takes 3–9 months depending on demand.

Drive approaches: property owners cover 100% of removal and replacement costs.

Street and Alley Repairs

The City of Dallas Department of Public Works handles street and alley repairs. Eligible repairs are addressed through street maintenance.

Curb repair or replacement is performed only for hazardous curbs or when curb displacement causes significant standing-water issues. The Department of Public Works will assess the need for repair.
